Letter from the CEO

During COVID the feed industry was decimated by the highest merger and acquisition activity in history both in the USA and overseas. Under new ownership, these new companies stopped or were unable to make foods for Marion Zoological.

It was also a time period in which many suppliers re-tooled their facilities to fill the void caused by the highest growth and demand for dog foods and treats. This growth was caused by the sharpest increase in pet ownership in history due to stay-at-home workers and high unemployment. It happened almost overnight. However, it continued to worsen for 3 years. During this time, Marion Zoological had 5 suppliers for various reasons either go out of business or stop manufacturing foods without advance notice.

As a result, Marion Natural Foods was formed to address the challenges and failures of the feed industry which are expected to continue for many years. Therefore, a network of suppliers and investors have come together to support the future and prevent the interruptions of the past.

As a result, Marion Zoological will soon celebrate its 40th year in business
